Wedding Blog Help

I am on the hunt for some excellent wedding/marriage blogs. I would love recommendations for Canadian blogs that have great diy prjoects and discuss budgeting (of course).

Thanks all!!

  1. weddingbells has a whole big site, with blogs, and a very addictive forum.

  2. None of these are Canada specific, but they do have great DIY (or DIT -- do it together) projects and budgeting discussions. Good luck!

    Souris Marriage
    A Practical Wedding
    Offbeat Bride
Wedding Bee might have some Canadian brides.

  3. Frugal Bride has a great discussion board and it's Canadian.

  4. My top 3 wedding sites, beautiful photos and some great diy ideas:

theknot.com has lots of photo galleries to browse, some forums too which you can enter by location. But I don't pay too much attention to what people are saying cuz it's mostly American and a lot of the brides are snarky.

If you want good talkboards try this Canadian site, although I don't know how current it is. http://www.canadianbride.com/

And one thing I'm not going to do anymore: waste money buying wedding magazines. You can get everything online!

    Have fun planning.

  5. Another really good one that I like is www.theweddingring.ca

  6. i write a wedding blog, but it's not really DIY (I got a C in art class once..), but I do have some budget related posts. Check it out, if you're interested!

Also, I would look at weddingbee too. They've got great message boards, as well as the blogs. Stay away from theknot.com!

  7. I second http://offbeatbride.com/ and not just because my photographer sister in law's photos were featured there! ;) http://offbeatbride.com/2010/07/canada-retro-legal-wedding

  8. Oh my goodness!!! Clearly I have missed the announcement, but congratulations!!!! That is so great!! :)

  9. I second (third? fourth?) Offbeat Bride. Also check out apracticalwedding.com

The blog Young House Love has a lot of details about their wedding and it was very DIY. It's not a wedding blog per se but does have great info in this post - http://www.younghouselove.com/wedding-album/

  10. Definitely repeating the recommendation for Offbeat Bride.

  11. Weddingbells.ca has all sorts of budgeting and planning tools, and I'll agree, addictive forums. I was married in 2003, and now I still visit the baby sections.
