$300 bi-weekly

Further to my post last week about the eventual demise of my Alberta Student Loan, I have changed my repayment plan on my loan.  I was going to just do extra payments through onilne transfers but, after thinking about it some, I thought that was too easy to not do.

Effective May 14, 2010 my default payment will be $300 bi-weekly.  From the spreadsheet below, I will just have to make one extra payment of about $15.00 to have my loan paid off before Christmas, 2010.

So, I'm pretty excited about that and pumped that I won't be able to cop out.

    @ Jolie - Thanks! I don't think that I've always made my goals realistic, so I'm happy this one is.

    @ The Financial Catastrophizer - Thanks! I figured If I didn't set up the auto payments I would find 'reasons' not to actually do it... and then I'd just be mad at myself later on.

    Woohoo! You go girl! Can you imagine having all that income freed up when the loan is done? Of course you can. That's what you do. Well done.

    I definitely agree. For months I planned up to up BF's car payments. Did I? Never. Anyway, it's paid off now - which reminds me a post is due on that!
